Individuals must submit a completed application form and all required documentation to the appropriate minister of labor to apply for the position. While the minister is completing the application, you must demonstrate that your organization has implemented a training program to impart new skills to residents.

The evaluation of applications typically takes two weeks, and candidates are given one month to submit all required documentation. All forms must be completed in English or translated into English and certified. Individuals have 48 hours to submit their payment for the forms.

Upon receiving their work permit, your employee must present their passport and documents to the Immigration and Passport Department. Upon receiving official confirmation, they may commence their duties.

Important Points to Keep in Mind:

It is crucial to be aware of the necessary documents for your employees to cross the frontier, as the visa regulations for each country are distinct. For instance, individuals from the United Kingdom are permitted to access the country without a visa for six months. Numerous individuals from Europe, North America, and South America are permitted to remain in Grenada for three months without a visa.

It is crucial to be aware that individuals who are presently in possession of a visitor’s visa and are applying for a work permit are unable to do so. Applicants from countries that require guest cards should submit applications for work permits at a consulate in the vicinity.

A work permit is not required for individuals who are citizens of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) to operate in the region. An alternative to submitting a work visa application is for individuals from CARICOM to submit a Caribbean Skills Qualification Certificate or a certificate that is equivalent.

If your employees are not citizens of a country that does not require a visa to enter the Kyrgyz Republic, they will be required to apply for a visa at the embassy or consulate in their native country. The documents required vary based on the type of visa, the nationality of the employee, and other factors. The following are some of the most frequently encountered:

  • a visa application that has been completed
  • A form of identification
  • A single-color photograph that is equivalent to the dimensions of a passport
  • Your correspondence extending an invitation to the individual to visit the Kyrgyz Republic
  • The visa fee

The workplace is typically inspected by a representative of the approved department as part of the process. They will review your company’s records and engage in a conversation with you regarding your business before issuing you a visa.

Application Method:

The following measure is to ensure that each employee has a work visa for the Kyrgyz Republic.

Two distinct types of work permits are issued by the State Migration Service: those that permit foreigners or individuals without citizenship to work in the country, and those that allow foreigners to be engaged and employed (An Employment Permit or an Employee Permit).

Don’t forget that the government establishes annual hiring quotas for foreign and stateless workers that are contingent upon the location and profession. These numbers are subject to annual approval by the government, which is why they are frequently changed.

If you engage in any of the following, your application for a work permit will be rejected by the State Migration Service:

  • may opt to collaborate with a local entity instead
  • submitted a fraudulent application
  • If the individual is involved in illicit activity, either cease conducting business in the Kyrgyz Republic or terminate their employment.

The majority of work permits in the Kyrgyz Republic are valid for one year; however, they may be extended upon request. However, certain individuals, such as foreign CEOs and talented foreign laborers, may be eligible for extended visas. Additionally, there is an application fee. The State Migration Service imposes a fee of KGS 2,000 for an employee permit and KGS 4,000 for a work permit.

Additional Crucial Points:

All work permits are company-specific and cannot be transferred to another individual in the event of job loss or employment acquisition. If an individual is employed by both your organization and another, each employer will require a distinct permit.
